Larry Merchant does that to many fighters lol. Dude is straight up rude he gets annoyed when they try to say something more on the mic for some reason.

HE did it to don king too when don king tried to say something on the mic and don king threatend HBO that they need to fire merchant.

Nah the fighters are being rude when they try to steal the airtime. Merchant has no choice but to cut them off, he works for the network and is representing the producers of the telecast. They have every right to control the content and not allow fighters to go on useless rants ("shoutouts") and other childish nonsense

In all honesty, I think it might of been due to runtime. I think it was about to be 1:00am or something, and I believe they have to fit everything in a certain amount of time and since the fight went the full 12 rds, they had to rush up everything. They have to say their closing statements with Larry, Jim, and Emmanuel, so I guess they had to speed up the post fight interviews. It was ashame though how he did that.

wrong this time...pacman has never done any of those...i think at that point he wanted to thank everybody who supported him including the p.i. nation.

i think it was rude of larry but could've just been the airtime limit as one poster here pointed out.

I jumped out of my seat and cussed him out. What BS, I thought that was disrespectful to true warrior. No matter what decision it was that fight was ****! I mean huge ****, THAT fight was awesome. well worth the 40 and change.

You thought Marquez really won... Merchant had it a draw.. Lederman gave it to Pac along with 2 other judges... the poll on boxing scene suggest more people believe pacquiao won. It just the people who can't handle the loss that are posting right now but everyone except JMM fans seem happy with the decision.

there's just as how many people think manny won the fight. ledderman and manny steward thought manny won. the turncoat merchant was in the minority that night among the hbo guys. manny steward and ledermann know Pacquiao really won.

Im going to assume some if not most of you that have posted so fare are recent boxing fans maybe months or just don't want to say it, so i will.

Truth.com........if you ever notice when a close fight is happening and if Merchant felt the other guy won, he'll cut off the winner and allow the loser who he felt really won, talk as long as he wants. This is a fact! And no one can deny this.

As for seeming its rushed for a certain time. That is ******. Im sorry but its PPV, i heard teh ppv was 60 bucks no time limit, read above to see why Merchant didn't allow Pacquiao to finish talking.
