Should their be a trilogy for PAC - JMM?

Should PAC move on, or a rematch within 8mos. happen? discuss and vote!

I guess it all depends once the PPV buys come in, it would be the deciding factor whether the two all-time greats should meet for a third time.

By the way guys, y'all know I'm a PAC fan through and through, but I scored it for JMM 115-113. But, close fight. No robbery. I'd love to see a trilogy.

I'm not saying it wasn't a damn close fight. If there was a third fight Marquez could even win, sure, but I don't know if that would be worth it. I mean, if Juan beat Manny in their third fight we all know there'd possibly be a fourth fight since each man would have taken a 'W' in one with that first draw still there. They'd have to prove who was top dog. That'd be two more fights against each other they would have to undergo...and that's brutal. Plus, if Pacquiao won yet again people would harshly criticize him for fighting someone he just beat. On paper it would look quite bad.

Sure, but not right away and only if JMM follows PAC at 135. Pacman ballooned to 146 lbs on fyt nyt and I believe 130 maybe too small for him...But this is fans fight and the rematch generated more questions than answers. Only a convincing end(like PAC-Morales) can stop all the debates.

I didnt see the second fight yet. If the decision was as controversal as many are making it out to be, than there should definitely be one, although I predicted that there would be one regardless of the result of the second fight.

I have to say people use the word 'controversial' when it comes to a decision if it was close. I, personally, scored the fight a draw- but the knockdown could most definetly swing it for Pacquiao. It was a close, close fight with both men having their moments. Manny was the one to score a KD, though, so when scoring a razor-edged fight that makes a world of difference. I wouldn't use the word controversial for the fight last night. Close, yes- but there was no foul play or robbery.

I thought marquez won both fights and still would not want to see a third match.

I hate immediate rematches it was a great fight but it was not castillo vs chico, rafa vs izzy, gatti vs ward great in terms of action so i dont think it warrants a third match.

Even thou i thought marquez won both fights its time to move on. Id rather see pac and marquez go on and continue their respective careers than being held back with a other rematch. the third match with erik was unnecessary, rematch with marco, and so would a third fight with juan vs pac be unnecessary.

What was great about this rematch is the build up. What happened from the first fight between the two and the fights after, which led them to be the top dogs at 130 so the rematch had to be made.

Even if you dont believe pac won the rematch against marquez (like me) he officially did. So its time for both of them to move on.

                nice post there, njord.

it surely was a close fight and there was no daylight robbery there either. i scored it 6-6 even and it was the kd that made the difference.

but everyone expected the jmm fans to cry foul and go round here bitching if pacquiao wins a close decision...which he did...and so here we are.

if it was a ko...i guess they would say jmm was too old and past his prime. typical of sour-graping losers if you ask me.

i would like to see it, but with manny winning this fight it is not really necessary! had they split and each taken a fight than for sure, but it is not necessary with pac winning
