Why is Mayweathert v DLH 8 months out?

Well, it's 6 months out now, but when the fight was made it was something like 8 months out. Is there some reason they can't fight sooner? I can see needing to build up suspense and build up PPV buys, but 8 months? It's a bit ridiculous.

Also, does anyone know if Floyd and DLH are keeping themselves in half-way decent shape? I know Floyd USED to be a gym rat. Is he still the same way or is he growing soft? What about DLH and his exercise habits?

Floyd is taking a break from boxing that's why he doesn't want to fight sooner, as in May. Oscar is keeping in shape considering he is fighting a few months before the Mayweather bout. Floyd weighed like 159 when he was on WWE so I am not too sure what shape he is in.

Because Mayweather would look even more innactive if they had the fight presummer and he sat out the rest of the year doing absolutely nothing in boxing. Now he can let everyone wait for the fight they don't want to see, then more strategically select his next move for 2009.
