Okay, this isn't meant to hate on anyone, so please post in the spirit of the thread...
When can a boxer truly refer to himself as a champion?
Is it about being recognised by The Ring, entering the P4P top ten, unifying the alphabet titles, or just beating all the best people in their weight class?
How do you become a champion and is there a minimum criteria?
Who are the true champions active today?
Is Pavlik a true champion, or does he have to beat Abraham and/or Sturm?
What about Klitchko and his bid to unify the HW titles - would that make him a true champion, or is he considered one already?
B-Hop doesn't hold any alphabet titles but seems to be recognised as the legitimate LHW champ. How does that work? Will Calzaghe be the true LHW champ if he beats him?
