If it does not happen, pacman should fight guzman.
If arum gives the fight to diaz he would be a *****, the reason guzman never got a shot was because late in his fight with sotto, guzman out classed sotto in the later rounds. Arum claimed that the fans lost intrest. If he give the fight to diaz he will go down as the biggest piece of ****. pacman needs to stay at 130 and fight guzman.
Pacquiao can't make 130 anymore. The guy went to 145 by fight time, he's busting out of the division. From Arum's perspective, I don't blame him for not putting Pacquiao in with Guzman. Guzman is the worst style for Pacquiao, a pure boxer with busy hands. Guzman is the guy to avoid at 130 for anyone, including Marquez.

David Diaz isn't a super fight, but it would be Pacquiao's first fight at 135. Can you blame him for taking an easy, well easier, fight following such a tough fight. Pacquiao made a big mistake when he stepped up to 130 and didn't give his body time to acclimate to the division. He was visibly weaker than Morales. Don't get me wrong, Morales was not the same fighter he used to be, as evidenced by him being rocked in the first round by a body shot. Pacquiao just didn't have it to finish up because he was new in the division.

At 135, where he clearly should be, a fight with Nate Campbell would be enticing. It's clearly a fan favorite fight and Arum spoke to USA Today about putting that fight in Macau. Fighting Juan Diaz would be absurd without him winning a big fight in between. Look at the way he fought with Campbell, how long would he last with Pacquiao?

      damn i love your post.

Some times moveing up one more division is just to much. kind of like gatti, gatti had to retire because his division would have to be some were around 144. pacman might be able to have some big fights at 135, but i dont see him being a force like he was at 130. Right now i think of all fighters pacman and cotto deserve easy fights. cotto got his (most likely). Pacman does deserve an easy fight, but i just hate the fact that he will win a title in what would be a gimme fight. Pacman has always faught hard to get his titles and diaz is going to be nothing to him

i just want the best to fight the best. david diaz has a belt but he is not the best at that division, guzman is second best at 130 (behind pacman). once again why would you not want the best to fight the best?
David diaz is like carlos baldamir, yeah he made it to the top but he is nothing. Guzmans name is bigger then david diaz, they are both small frys but guzman name is still bigger
well we already seen Pacman vs a Tactical brilliant counter puncher...now lets see him do what he does best brawl and david diaz will be a good test at 135.

and JMM can still fight for the WBC if pacman vacates let him fight Joan Guzman lets see how good joan guzman does against jmm and then let him step to pacman.

but I think pacman will retire either this year or next year for some reason.

what else does guzman have to do to earn a big money title fight?
soto vs guzman was suppose to set up pacmans next opp, but since guzman style out classed soto, arum wanted no part in that match up.
The guzman fight would put pacman with something he has never been in there with, faster hands then his. i mean pacman will probably still win it but guzman is the best fighter that deserves a shot. he is undefeted and he has faced and beat every body they put in front of him. what else does he have to do.
