Any man who is brave enough to represent his country in the prize ring on such a grand level deserves to hear his national anthem prior to battle.

Why was R. Kelly's version disgraceful?? That was a "Chicago stepping" version of the national anthem. It was different and I liked it. R. Kelly did his thing...it was great.

You must not of heard the booing in the crowd. There were even Brits on these boards saying that although it wasn't their country it was embarrasing and a disgrace. I highly suggest you watch the video again on youtube pal.

LOL...I don't have to watch the video again and it doesn't matter if some/many people in the crowd didn't like his version. I'm not gonna change my mind because of that. I'm a big fan of R.Kelly and his music. I liked the fact that he made a "Chicago stepping" version of the national anthem. It was different. I just don't understand why some like you for example think it was disgraceful because you didn't like his version. I mean disgraceful IMO is when the artist can't sing or the artist has no passion whatsoever and forget the lyrics and stuff like that.

I dont see the point in having to hear the national anthem at any sporting event or anytime at all for that matter. Does anyone really care about it??
