TOS isnt tht bad, he was using a strategy people, what did you expect him to go right at wlad in the first round? why would he do that when the whole world knows, except for some of you that he runs out of gas in the mid rounds. he would have kayoed wlad before that fight was over, i dont care if wlad landed a 1000 punches to tos's 1, 1 punch is all it would have took in the late rounds, he knocked him down with ease in the 3rd round

Yes he may have a stamina problem, but I've never seen him exausted when his opponents no pressure on him.

perfect example of your statement=the mercer and mccline fights, even they were more active against wlad, you dont see them asking for rematches.

Yeah the saddest thing about that is that you are right. McCline was more active against Wlad than TOS was. I remember Merchant talking about McCline in the 10th round saying, "Sometimes an athlete just doesn't know when he isn't trying."

If Mesi is dog****, then that makes Monte Barrett, James Toney, and Jirov also dog****, and I don't think that that's the case.
Jirov was a cruiserweight who looked like crap in his other 2 fights as a heavyweight. As a crusierweight, Jirov is a top 3 fighter. Monte Barrett is a good test for any fighter, but he's not a top level heavyweight. He's borderline B/C level at best.

The fact that Mesi got knocked down and almost beat by that guy is sad. Wlad beat Barrett the way a true top heavyweight is supposed to beat a guy of B/C level. He brutalized him. Barrett didnt' win a round. That's what a top 5 heavyweight does with Barrett. you don't have a competitive match and get knocked down by a guy who can't punch, which is what happened to Sloppy Joe Messy

Unfortuantely for Wlad, that was 2 years ago? Wlad doesn't not have that same confidence when he fights. Getting knocked out does that to fighters (as well as realizing you don't have a chin). Same thing happened with Michael Grant, though Wlad was 10 times more skilled. If you don't have the chin and the heart to match your skill, your skill don't mean ****

This just in todays heavyweight division is trash, so you don't have to be that great to a be a top fighter which is one of the main reasons why I refuse to count Wlad out. What about the fact that Mesi outboxed Jirov to a greater extent than Toney could?

Did you watch these fights? Jirov put relentless pressure on Toney like I've never seen before but it wasn't very smart of him because James wanted that. Jirov looked unenthused and uninterested against Mesi until the final 3 rounds or so. Toney really beat the living hell out of Jirov. Mesi didn't really hurt Jirov all that bad and it showed as Jirov would have stopped Mesi if he had another 30 seconds. Toney could have fought 5 more rounds, although he wouldn't have had to because he would have stopped Jirov in the next round. Jirov threw an insane amount of punches at James and landed very few of them (I don't remember the actual punch stat numbers).

Oh and TOS is just about as gay as it gets. He's seriously one of the biggest joke fighters I've ever seen. There's no reason why he shouldn't have been manhandled by Wladdy.

I'm not talking about who hurt who. I am talking about outboxing someone. Yes I have seen both fights. Mesi won every round except the first and the last 2 when he ran out of gas. Mesi was 253/773 and Jirov was 160/373. Mesi outlanded Jirov in rounds 3-9. Toney lost 4 and 3 rounds, but it was closer than that. Toney landed 380/816 and Jirov landed 248/1032.
