Pacquiao said he don't like to be called the Mexican assassin. Just read this in LA Times.

I don't hate him, he was actually one of my favorites back in 2004-2005. I just like pretending to hate him to piss his fans off the way they piss off the Mexican fight fans. I think it balances everything out and keeps **** on an even keel.

Honestly, there's nothing to hate about Pacquiao. He's a talented, quiet family guy who loves his Countrymen and overcame some serious odds to make something of himself, it's hard not to like a guy like that.

I'm just picking Marquez because I think he's more technically sound and this is his last chance to establish himself as a "Mexican great" and gain the respect that has so far eluded him.

i like honest people like you. u like the person but of course u need to balance things out with others who discredit mexican fighters too. it's funny that those ignorant ones can't reply to this thread since they are stuck in their own ****** hate world. by the way whoever wins tonight has already been a great fighter on my list.

Regardless of the winner both men are amazing fighters and certainly in the top list of their era.

I just take a strong attitude towards blatant disrespect. If it's the Filipino fans disrespecting the Mexican heritage in boxing, or the Mexican fans disrespecting the Filipino fighters.

I still don't understand why such an amazing sport, sometimes attracts the most closeminded of fans.

well actually they are not closeminded its just that they do that **** here in the internet because no one sees them but i bet u in real life they dont talk **** like this. also u can't avoid fanatics. it's kinda like a vice versa when one disrespects the other camp they would just go at it again and again. so u know. hey we need this anyway to add more thrill to the fight.
