I can't stand Wlad Owns His Own Equipment. Every thread he starts is a seemingly unassailable tower of ****, but every time he posts he manages to go one further. It's like that question about God - Could God create a rock so heavy he couldn't lift it? Could Wlad Owns produce a topic so ****ty he couldn't top it? Every time. Every time.
I don't mind Wlad Klitschko. I don't mind Vitali either. But "Wlad Owns" is a ludicrous ****o.Comment

I've been fending off the Limey nationalism for two weeks.
It's bad from every country on here, but lately there are more Limeys than before, so it stands out more.
It used to be Mexicans vs. Pinoys, but Pacquiao chased most of the Mexicans off the site

Oh but I should point out that I think Haye is a welcome addition to a very poor heavyweight division. I don't know if he's going to dominate or even be successful. He's a musclebound puncher who tends to gas and is a little chinny, so who knows. But he has personality and personality goes a long way. Maybe he'll be the next Frank Bruno (apart from he's considerably more with it than Bruno over was) in that he'll usher in a new era of popularity in the heavyweights (at least in Britain). Then again how successful would Bruno have been if the best fighter of his era got starched by Lamon Brewster?Comment

You think Bruno was better than Lamon Brewster?Oh but I should point out that I think Haye is a welcome addition to a very poor heavyweight division. Answer that, and also whether you think Haye could have beaten a healthy Brewster.
I think the latter is an almost undebatable 'no'. The former you could answer in the affirmative though.
And c'mon with the Wlad hate. His career is catching up to Lewis's, and he is ahead of where Len was at his age.Comment

Also squeal, the fact that you talk about "creating excitement at least in Britain" is already problematic. What matters it if the best HWs are not British? They aren't. I wouldn't mind if they were, but I think there are prospects better than Haye who are not getting all the "he could possibly beat Wlad" bull****. And anyone who participates that, with however much restraint, is being a nationalist - - letting a man's passport outweigh his meritComment

The "creating excitement, at least in Britain" that he refers to KayJay is the prospect of the average Green Teef giving a ****. Cue sample conversation at work:Also squeal, the fact that you talk about "creating excitement at least in Britain" is already problematic. What matters it if the best HWs are not British? "I'll watch that ****in' Hatton fight, should be wicked. I don't watch boxing, but I'll watch that after the football, Hatton's amazing, ain't he?"
"Uh... yeah, but I don't think he'll win this one."
"Why, who's he fighting?"
See also: "who is Caslo then?" (Castillo).
The average green teef doesn't give a ****. I had people asking me why Amir wasn't fighting for a world title after ten fights. They don't understand boxing, and as soon as you get to the all-important question of "who's the heavyweight champ" they fall asleep as soon as you say "well, it's complicated..."Comment

I think what I mean regarding excitment is that you have an exciting fighter who has a personality to go with it. Haye could shake up the heavyweights in a way that a non-English speaker really can't. No matter how good the Eastern Europeans are they can't capture the American imagination with monosyllabic stuttering or by speaking German through an interpreter. Also squeal, the fact that you talk about "creating excitement at least in Britain" is already problematic. And it's the Americans you really want on board. Haye could do alright there.Comment
