The monumental Chris Byrd made him quit on his stool.

Haye by TKO four weeks before the fight when Vitali twists his knee.

      "Wlad Owns" is creepy.

This is interesting because Vitali has a GREAT chin and it may be able to stand up to Haye's bombs.
However, I dont know where Vitali is at phyisically or emotionally right now, so the edge goes to Haye.

The reason people think that is purely because Vitali is prone to injury and a cut is likely especially with Hayes power, we just don't know how Vitali will come back. Regardless I would pick Vitali by KO

No, a torn rotator cuff made Vitali retire from a fight he was dominating nearly every round.

So he says. It could be that he dished out everything he could to Byrd and couldn't hurt him. When he had next to nothing left, he quit on his stool rather than being stopped by the softest HW titleist in recent years.

You aren't serious, are you? Vitali had a very wide decision coming to him, and Byrd couldn't "stop" him even if Vit put his hands at his waist and let Byrd tee off.

Eh, I think it is time to move past holding the Byrd fight against Vitali. He admited himself that it was a bad move and he wouldn't quit again, and he demonstrated this by fighting on against Lewis despite cuts and internal injuries.

I don't know what to think of this match up though. Vitali has been inactive for too long and we don't know what Haye can really do at heavy.
