From Todays Sun:
CLINTON WOODS has told Joe Calzaghe: I'm coming to get you after I destroy Antonio Tarver.
Woods is determined to add Tarver's IBO light-heavyweight title to his IBF crown when they go toe-to-toe in Florida on April 12.
And the no-nonsense Sheffield fighter believes tearing the American apart will leave Calzaghe with little choice but to agree to an all-British showdown.
Woods, 35, said: "The fight I want is Joe Calzaghe. I hope Joe takes Bernard Hopkins apart the week after I destroy Tarver.
"The way Hopkins has gone about their Press conferences is an absolute disgrace. I want Joe to beat him as it would set up a great fight between us.
"I reckon he wants to fight me and I think it'll happen. It's in the national interest and the clash is the natural next step if we both win our fights."
Woods had to be pulled away from Tarver when the pair met to promote their fight in London last month.
And the Englishman cannot wait to let his fists do the talking when he steps in the ring with the 'Magic Man'.
Woods said: "There's no bad blood in my eyes but I don't like flash fighters like him.
"He just walked in and started making c**p up. Guys like him just shout and shout.
"All he was doing was repeating himself saying how bad I am and that he'd knock me out in two rounds.
"He just kept shouting and to tell you the truth I felt like biting his nose off.
"I don't like the guy but I wouldn't start bad mouthing someone like he did. The way he went off at that Press conference just showed him up."
Unlike Calzaghe, Woods has boxed in America before.
He came up short against Roy Jones Jnr in 2002 but insists the bitter taste of defeat will be erased against Tarver.
Woods added: "Having to fight in America hasn't really changed the way I prepare. I'm well into my sparring and I've got another two or three weeks here in England.
"I'm looking forward to going over there and it's what I've always dreamed about.
"Looking back 12 or 13 years, I never thought I'd be in the position of defending a world title in America against one of the best light-heavyweights in the world.
"There'll be no pressure on me when I get out there and I'm just looking forward to the occasion.
"I'll definitely win. I think it'll go 12 rounds but I'm going to pummel him.
"I'm going out there to work hard and I know I'll show I've got more desire than him."
Once the Tarver fight is done and dusted, Woods is ready to cement his place in the history books by defeating Calzaghe.
He said: "Joe's never ducked anybody and the fight between us was on for earlier this year.
"But it didn't happen as he wanted to go for the big money, which he deserves.
"He's been the super-middleweight champion for a long time and he deserves the fight against Hopkins.
"I wouldn't want to fight Joe if I didn't know I could beat him. If I didn't believe I'd win I'd go for the easier options.
"I've got to get past Tarver but I believe I'm the best light-heavyweight in the world.
"Tarver's the problem at the moment but once he's out of the way it's got to be Calzaghe next.
"I've got loads of respect for him and I hope both of us come through our fights so we can get it on."
