    Big money ????????

is it inevitable that once you taste the huge ammounts money (ie. that odlh brought floyd, and pbf and hatton made) that you change? instead of making your best, fan wanted, and most desired fights you change ur sights from the previous to making the most money against the most lucrative opponents possible? we all know it happens, but i am just thinking maybe it is so drug like that these dudes just get hooked on making all that paper that nothing else is as important! what are your thoughts?

seems like Oscar is the only one making unprecedented bank, yet still fighting the best.

For most fighters it does, Mayweather, Winky etc. are fighting the fighters that bring them the most money now.

          Fighting

          makes fighting

sort of a moot point as far as not fighting the best is concerned.

You mean fighting Gatti? Yeah, fighting Gatti does make De La Hoya an all time great who fights the best out there.

            ...

The only reason De La Hoya is fighting Mayweather is because Floyd will bring in the most money.

De La Hoya's boxing career has been over for years now.

Are you denying that Oscar is fighting the best by fighting p4p #1 Floyd?

I really don't blame DLH for wanting to fight Mayweather again, I blame Mayweather for wanting to fight DLH again. Even though Mayweather brings DLH the most money, Mayweather is the best.

He is not going to actually fight. It's going to be another glorified sparring session ending in a Floyd Mayweather decision victory.

If he goes in there and gives it all he has got, then yes he would be fighting the best. But he won't.

I blame all the people who will buy this fight which allows this fight to be made.
If no one showed any interest then this fight wouldn't be made.

If the fight makes low numbers then it would really send a message that people want to see Mayweather fight the best WW's out there and see De La Hoya to either retire or beat someone relevant again to earn his chance against boxing's top names.

I think he will give it all he's got, he gave it a LOT last time but got tired. Theres no question that Oscar tried to make the fight.

Yeah, I agree about the fans thing. Its possible that they WONT buy this ppv. I guaruntee you it wont do close to the numbers it did last time.
