    what should i do?

ill be straight forward and say i don't actually train in boxing. i ve been training Muay Thai for the past 10 months, but i dont think that is important in this instance. ive been busting my ass for the last 5 months because i really really want a match.
today i overheard my trainer telling a guy whose been with us for just 4 months that hes got a match latter this month, and i honestly don't know what to do. i don't want to just ask my trainer if he can find me a fight because i don't want to look conceited or anything like that.
i dont know if he forgot about me or if it is an issue with my size .
    (5'7 or 170cm and 122 lbs or 8.7stn)
honestly i find it kind of difficult to stay real motivated when you arent working towards something.
any one ever have a problem like this??

I had a similar issue, but the opposite I was training in Take-won-do for a few months and the instructor pulled me aside and asked if I would represent the school..I was like uhh Im new? I spoke to a friend that had trained there for a while and he said it was because of my technique.. so who knows if you want to fight just ask.

Just go straight up and ask him if he thinks you are ready to fight and if so could he get you a fight if not at least you know why ,,,,, never be afraid to tell someone how you feel , whether they like it or not they will admire your honesty.
