The difference between Cotto and Oscars next opponents.

Gomez is coming into this fight actually thinking he can beat Cotto. He's not gonna lay down. He's gonna come to fight. Forbes on the other hand is just happy to be in the same ring as Oscar. He'll probably become starstruck the moment the opening bell rings. He knows he cant win, so he's just gonna try and survive till the 12, that way he can say he lasted 12 rounds with Oscar. As much as i want Steve "2 pound" Forbes to win, there isnt a chance in hell that i think he pulls it off. Oscar should be embarrased for being in such a mis-matched fight.

    Oscar embarrassed?

Just in case Forbes has to pull out at the last minute, De La Hoya has a kid in the 3rd grade from a school near the Home Depot Center lined up..

Oscar is doing this fight to thank his fans.

they're both tune up fights for another fight.. so it's not really like it matters.
if Forbes makes De La Hoya chase him.. then that's even more practice for Mayweather. The only reason I am against Forbes and De La Hoya is because of the size.. If De La Hoya can't face middleweights and needs to pray on welters then he should just give it up!

I don't see why people make a big deal about these two fights though.. it's not like they are taking the fight to avoid someone else.

Agreed. I think the guy has been riding his fanbase for far too long, milking money from his fans. His fans should be ashamed of being his fans. He has been a jr.middleweight for years now and the best he can do is pick out a guy from the jr.welterweight division? He couldn't even pick Malinaggi, who is younger and a bit faster.

And yes he is fighting the P4P best in Floyd in September, and undeservingly at that. Alot of people blaim Floyd but shouldn't we all be blaiming Oscar?

Afterall, everybody wants to fight him including Cotto. Shouldn't he fight guys his size like Winky Wright or Vernon Forrest, two guys his age who have been calling him out for years? Winky & Forrest are two great fighters who could help his legacy if he were victorious.

        Oscar is a *****.

forbes has a chance, if he decides to be the smaller, quicker man on the outside, like floid did, he could beat the drag queen, but he had an easier time doing that against grady brewer and he didn't do it. it's not that steve can't win this fight, it's that he won't try, which really sucks because i'm a 2pound fan and really want him to beat oscar de la fishnets
