Does anyone actually think Roger Mayweather wants Forbes to win and defeat De La Hoya? A victory over Oscar would have negative effects on the Mayweather/De La Hoya fight.. The Idea that Roger really wants to win seems foolish to me and simply part of HBO's bizzarre boxing soap opera starring PBF and DLH. If Oscar loses to Forbes, Mayweather beating Oscar seems so much less impressive and worth watching. Thoughts?

exactly, and obviously Forbes would want that but.. it says in the fine print on his golden ticket to fight DLH that Roger must be his trainer. Not a doubt in my mind it's in the contract.

Roger would love nothing better than to embarrass his brother Floyd Sr. Having Floyd Jr doesn't do it, but Forbes beating Oscar sure as hell does.

I think people buy too heavily into these over glorified family rivalries.. A lot of it is just good HBO marketing.
