(VIDEO) Steve Forbes trains for De La Hoya

Check out former super featherweight champion Steve Forbes work the mitts with trainer Roger Mayweather as he begins training for his upcoming clash with six-division world champion Oscar De La Hoya. Although he doesn't possess the same handspeed as pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr., it's easy to see why the Golden Boy selected Forbes as his next opponent.

I think it really takes another fighter to work with Roger on the mitts to see how great Floyd is at his accuracy and things of that nature with the padwork.

I agree with this. If you go through Youtube videos, Roger has carried a buncha out of shape guys in the gym while doing the mitts with them. **** he even somewhat made them look like Floyd.

But you can clearly see the difference between a Floyd and a Steve Forbes. Forbes was slow as ****.

I don't think he has a chance against Oscar.

Remember on 24/7 when Ricky started mimicking and making fun of Roger Mayweather's speed drills. Then he got his ass whupped.
