I agree with his view on Baby Bull, he has no real boxing skill just come forward and throw combos to look fancy to win rounds.
Give us your thoughts on the upcoming Juan Manuel Marquez for Manny Pacquiao fight. Who is going to win and why?
Israel Vasquez: Well, as a Mexican I’m inclined to support Juan Manuel Marquez. He knows how to control the distance, has an awesome array of punches, and can hit hard too. But on the other hand we have to look at the speed of Manny Pacquiao. He’s got an amazing combination of speed, power, and footwork. I’ll have to go with Pacquiao on this one. I think he’s already comfortable at that weight, and with his awesome power I think the fight is his to win.
Did you see the Juan Diaz fight with Campbell? If so, were you surprised he lost?
Israel Vasquez: It was disappointing, but not so surprising. His style is so predictable. He just keeps coming forward without any variety of attack. Nobody had been able to neutralize his attack until now. Campbell deserved to win. He broke him down with a great body attack. He also stood there and traded with him, man to man. Juan’s mistake was not making any adjustments in his attack. He should have changed it up around the 4th or 5th round. But that’s the way he always fights, and that’s what caused him to lose.
