Quintana Ready To Halt Margarito's Plan

FINALLY the story line I had been looking for in the last couple of days. Tony DID HAD the chance to pick between Quintana and Cintron for a window period of "5 days". It means Tony verbally agreed to fight Kermit, but not sign. Tony seems to be a smart guy. He wanted to fight Williams again and waited until the shocking results. Too bad.


Since some of you are talking about plain and basic common sense, I will give you what you want, THE FACTS.

1. Margarito has a tittle shot because Cintron WANTS REVENGE, not because he earned it. Cotto, PBF and Williams were not going to fight him. After losing to PW, Tony's chance agaisnt Cotto vanished. Tony is lucky Kermit wants revenge.

2. Quintana is not better than Margarito and Cintron, BUT has an advantage over them in been southpaw. If Tony could not beat Santos in two fights, I imagine Quintana outboxing him for a UD win. The worst case is Kermit's, who has never faced a southpaw before. Main reason he was in no hurry to fight PW.

3. Cotto is the best WW in the division. He already beated Quintana, and if he stays focus he could beat Cintron and Margarito any given Saturday. Any of them will give Cotto a hard fight due to size and power difference. Still I see Cotto winnning by eighter KO or UD.

4. Margarito and Cintron fight is the one with most significance in the WW Division. The loser will go off the big PPV radar. Until then, all our posts are just more internet boxing ****.

Lmao@ what Margarito said, that guy is just flat out gangst'errrrr. Callin out another countries champions, I can imagine him with a straight face actually sayin some **** like that. The guy has ice in his veins.

But Margarito vs all these guys would actually be some decent fights. Here's hopin he gets past Cintron. A guy with Cintrons power is always dangerous.

Also forgot to mention Tony was supposed to fight Judah, but Judah could not keep his cool. That would had been a hell of a fight for two boxers desperately needing a win to get back in the big picture of PPV Money.

I really don't understand where all this fanboyism towards Margarito comes from. He's good, but by no means great. he's got 5 losses and turned down fights that would have put him on the big leagues, yet, for some reason, you think he deserves a chance at a title? I've read so many threads about him it makes me laugh. Some people have even said: It's not who he has beaten, is who he will beat...lol Wow, just wow. Here's what I don't understand from you fanboys: You say that Margo already destroyed Kermit...and therefore, will do it again. By that same token, If Williams already beat Margo, and by a good margin at that...then if there was a rematch Williams would win...But of course the Margo Fanboys would say NOOOO. Why can't Kermit come back and whoop Margo? I'm not going to say that Quintana would whoop up on him either, I mean, let's be real. But Cotto? What in the blue hell makes you guys think he's in the same league as Cotto? Let alone KO Cotto. Like a previous poster said: the only reason he's getting a shot is because Kermit wants a rematch. He had his chances. Lost, turned down, whatever. Shut up and stop crying about a shot. I doubt he will get past Kermit, but if he does...good bye Margo. Cintron never was on the PPV radar, and Tony was... once. He broke the record for the least successful PPV ever.

I also think that it is strange the order that he will be fighting them in. Quintana and Cintron are interchangable at this point IMO. But Cintron, Cotto and then Quintana? If he drops Cintron and Cotto, along with his pretty exciting style, then a fight with him and Floyd would be pretty profitable for both IMO. Quintana would just be the icing on the cake after he beat Cintron, Cotto and Mayweather (assuming if, and that is a big IF, he beats all of them).

Without been fanatical or one track minded. Margarito will lose this fight for sure. the cintron he will face is not the same of the last time, that is a fact.
Gomez will be badly beaten,Gomez is not even close to Ricardo Torres who gave Cotto a hell of a fight but was KO., Gomez is not stronger than n'dou that cotto beat up.

I agree with both of you. Like I said before I hope this guy gets taken care of soon cuz I'm tired of him talking as if he's the best in the division. He was exposed by Clottey until Clottey hurt his hand in the fight and he lost to P. Williams who Quintana beat. Margarito is nothing special... Over hyped journeyman at best.
