i think even though gomez is kind of rough around the edges i think his camp is smart enough to realize they cant go in there and **** to the body with someone as good as cotto...

body punching is COTTO's bread and butter...if gomez attempts to get in there and **** to cotto's body cotto will **** right back...and im more than sure cotto's bodypunches are more effective.

Gomez has a better chance as a boxer puncher...

if he gets lucky he might be able slip a miguel cotto left hook to the body and counter with a big right hand...thats going to be what i think gomez will be looking to land in this fight...right hands...

we also know cotto predominately brawls and goes to the body...gomez should further test what we seen against mosley and that is box cotto...make him box with you...its his best chances...

still i say cotto wins by a decision or late fight knockout (around the 10th round)

I think cottocop is gonna go in there and try to hurt gomez early in the rounds, if it gets to the late rounds he might end up switching to the boxer style cottocop.

Cotto's body punching are very accurate. I still believe Floyd will be hit by those body punching by Cotto...

Yep, Cotto has got a better than good stationary target with Gomez' torso.. Alfonso has fine head movement so I'm sure Cotto won't waste his time there more then absolutely nescessary.

Cotto has excellent instincts so he immediately goes after the most available target area.. Against Mosley, in uncommon fashion Shane did a better job of protecting his body than his head - which is why we saw Miguel ringing his bell so much. It wasn't anything planned, just pure instincts and adjustments on the fly.. Cotto will find Alfonso's body like a Bloodhound finds cadavers.

In fact it's a very good idea that Cotto uses his classic method of setting up by lunging with a lead, and then throwing a combo to the body once he's inside. If Cotto tries to score to the head too often he's going to get countered heavily.. But I'd be surprised to see him make that mistake.

As I've already stated, Cotto has good instincts and he's more than happy to lock in and keep repeating an action if it seems to be working.

I think Cotto just wants to be hitting something hard. Whatever his opponent will give him - and that just happens to be the body in most cases. And it should be here, in this fight with Gomez..

I bellieve Gomez can suprise people with his ability to box with Cotto but it won't matter because Gomez can't break an egg with his power.

The one thing that would give Gomez a fighting chance would be a power but he just doesn't have any. Cotto will wear him down and win in the late rounds by ko. I would be very suprised, shocked even, if this fight goes the distance.

Gomez will be on the canvas at least by the 8th round after a nice shot to the liver by Cotto. This bum will not last much!!!!

I think Cotto will come out attacking Gomez' body, try to break him down and knock him out late.
