Not that we expect just one.. But which Cotto will we see predominately?
Which Cotto Will Gomez Have To Contend With?

body punching is COTTO's bread and butter...if gomez attempts to get in there and **** to cotto's body cotto will **** right back...and im more than sure cotto's bodypunches are more effective.
Gomez has a better chance as a boxer puncher...
if he gets lucky he might be able slip a miguel cotto left hook to the body and counter with a big right hand...thats going to be what i think gomez will be looking to land in this fight...right hands...
we also know cotto predominately brawls and goes to the body...gomez should further test what we seen against mosley and that is box cotto...make him box with you...its his best chances...
still i say cotto wins by a decision or late fight knockout (around the 10th round) -
Cotto's body punching are very accurate. I still believe Floyd will be hit by those body punching by Cotto...Last edited by MakeDamnSure; 03-11-2008, 05:36 AM.Comment

Yep, Cotto has got a better than good stationary target with Gomez' torso.. Alfonso has fine head movement so I'm sure Cotto won't waste his time there more then absolutely nescessary.
Cotto has excellent instincts so he immediately goes after the most available target area.. Against Mosley, in uncommon fashion Shane did a better job of protecting his body than his head - which is why we saw Miguel ringing his bell so much. It wasn't anything planned, just pure instincts and adjustments on the fly.. Cotto will find Alfonso's body like a Bloodhound finds cadavers.Last edited by Addison; 03-11-2008, 05:46 AM.Comment

As I've already stated, Cotto has good instincts and he's more than happy to lock in and keep repeating an action if it seems to be working.
I think Cotto just wants to be hitting something hard. Whatever his opponent will give him - and that just happens to be the body in most cases. And it should be here, in this fight with Gomez..Comment

I bellieve Gomez can suprise people with his ability to box with Cotto but it won't matter because Gomez can't break an egg with his power.
The one thing that would give Gomez a fighting chance would be a power but he just doesn't have any. Cotto will wear him down and win in the late rounds by ko. I would be very suprised, shocked even, if this fight goes the distance.Comment
