    Juan Diaz old over night?

Holy ****, lol what the **** was that? I thought this fight was suppose to happen in April for some reason, but I caught the replay yesterday and wow, I couldn't beleive what I saw.

Only reason why its shocking is because Campbell didn't look that fast, or that precise. He just winged his shots on the inside and Diaz just sat there eating everything. He beat Juan on the inside like it was nothin.

I mean Juan dips to each side, left and right, has a mean jab, and rediculous workrate. I mean he steps circles around his guys and digs to the body and when he's not doin that, he puts a stiff jab out when he's standin still. But he didn't move to either side, didn't jab, he looked lethargic in the first round, and every other round he was attemptin to be active in.

Then they did that lil bio on him before the fight, studying law and boxing? lol Dude you gotta pick one or the other, that would be beyond exhausting. Has he been doin that his whole career? Because they mentioned it in the past, but never again. I thought maybe he put school on hold, until I saw that lil special before the fight. Anyways, that was the most lethargic, enthuised lacking Juan Diaz fight I've ever seen.

I mean you never see Juan stand right there infront of a guy "that much." I mean he's usually dippin to each side, left and right. People call him a inside fighter, but he doesn't stay in one spot on the inside, he'd give rediculous angles for those insane shots of his. But he couldn't slip **** for punches in this last fight, he didn't move, he just sat there eatin shots from the first round. Goin straight backwards, and just tried to match shot for shot. I mean did he get old just like that? Or what?

Anyways, if this is the lightweight division now, and this gremlin lookin ass, Nate Campbell, with that bland style is the "new guy," when Diaz was the Phenom for his short time....****, that Division is up for grabs.

Julio Diaz even though I think he'd be better off if he fought with more vigour, lol I think he could make another comeback. Vicente Escobedo who traded power shots with Jiminez could easily make a nice come up, I mean I'd love to see em take on this gremlin faced pea head whos on top now lol.

I mean I don't think Joel can stay around much longer, Campbell didn't look that impressive, I mean for a round or two he was eating Juans Combonations when Juan was able to throw em. But that was only like, 2 or 4 times for the entire 12 rounds. But yeah, I'd love to see Vicente to try and make some moves this year, even Julio. Julio just needs a shot of espresso or somthin, he's way to calm and relaxed.

He was beating Campbell before the cut IMO. After the cut opened up, Diaz slowed down considerably to protect the eye, Campbell also fought a very intelligent fight and attacked Diaz' belly, which also was a telling factor down the stretch, but I think if they ever have a rematch, Diaz would win.

I think he just had an off night. With his style of fighting, he was never going to be fighting in his thirties, but I still think he has 3 or 4 more good years. Tough to be a world class fighter and go to college at the same time. I'd like to see him finish school and then come back.

I was watchin that **** yesterday hungover, and I litterally got out of bed and sat on the edge of it knowin what was gonna happen after a few rounds just cause he wasn't moving or slipping **** for punches. I mean you use to see classic Diaz atleast 2 to 3 times a round. But I only remember seein him put that hand speed on this guy for 1 time in 1 of the rounds. I think it was 3rd or 4th. I thought ok, he's startin late, sometimes he does that. But nah, that was it. After that he just covered up and threw out some lazy prayers to the body, and some lazy jabs. Basically there wasnt that "method to his madness" you usually see.

Only reason I'm sold on him officially being spent, is because he didn't even ask for a immediate rematch or anything. I mean Nate didn't look that impressive until later in the fight, when those bland ass punches started landin regularly. And those punches weren't like blinding speed shots, or rediculous Cotto power shots, just stiff winged punches. When Juan ruled the division with quick soul stealing pressure and crazy foot movement inside.

It was a lethargic performance, and it shouldn't have happen, especially this early in his career. Only real reason I can think of why he couldn't perform, he just didn't have it in him.

Nah, Juans faced some dirty guys, and not only that Juan has never complained in a fight about someone fighting dirty. I mean the fact he was complainin to the ref about that headbutt, showed he was already in a slouch ass mood. He doesn't complain about that ****, he usually just keeps goin.

I mean Francisco Lorenzo is probably more wild and dirty then this gremlin lookin Nate guy, and Juan had his way with him..

That happens to a boxer every now and then in the gym, no doubt it also happens in a pro fight.

After graduation, Diaz needs to put aside the Law school thing if he still wants a rematch and if he can get one. Go to a remote training camp and focus on boxing a 100%........Campbell aint all that and could beat him if he is physically and mentally right.

He seemed discouraged after the cut but in the first few round he was getting the best out of Campbell.
