Oh my god! Mijares and Munoz set to unify!!

According to Cristian Mijares, he will unify his junior bantamweight title with fellow champion Alexander Munoz on May 17 in Palacio, Mexico. Mijares and his co-promoter, Nacho Huizar told boxing writer Dan Rafael that the unification bout was signed.

The fight will be televised in the United States on on Integrated Sports pay-per-view. It was said that Humberto Soto will appear in the co-feature against an opponent to be announced at a later date.

Originally, Mijares wanted to unify against Dimitri Kirilov, but after Kirilov had a poor performance against against unknown Cecilio Santos, on Feb. 28, and was only able to get a draw, the fight lost it's appeal.
This was on the front page, but I haven't seen a topic. I don't care if this is PPV, this bout interests me a lot more then Kirilov. I just hope it's 30 dollars insted of 50.

But man I am so pumped for this fight!!

its still gonna be great, i just think mijares boxes him silly. Also Montiel destroyed Martin Castillo who beat Munoz not easily but enough to get a comfortable decision. I think Munoz will lose a decision. I thought his titles were in a way handed to him

Sounds good. I don't know Munoz but i'll defently watch Mijares fight. And Soto on the undercard is a plus.

They wouldn't dare try and charge $50 for that. $30 sounds about right.

I haven't seen Munoz fight, but If Mijares is on he's going to be very hard to beat.
