If so, maybe that is a reason that his power is lacking. Power comes from the legs. Most, if not all great punchers do tremendous amounts of roadwork.

I have heard numerous times that he swam instead of doing roadwork. I think swimming can be great, but not to replace your roadwork with it.

yes and he runs too. What had happened was that they tried to switch up his training regime. I know because this because of where he trains. I know people there and i go there to train my fighter sometimes. They had him swinging the baseball bat like Pavlik. Hardly did any mitts. They just TOTALLY switched it up on him. Plus he went to Cancun on Tuesday. They were saying he wasnt gonna be ready because Cancun would have relaxed him too much. But his manager still made him go. Also Don King made it hell for him over there since Nate was with Don. He argued and fussed to try to get into Juan's head. And he did. He was out of shape during training camp. I said this in another thread. I should have seen it coming but I disregarded it as he didnt want to go all out during sparring.

Roadwork is for stamina and endurance , actually long runs takes away from power , only running up steep hills adds to leg power because of the resistance , steep hills at a decent clip will also blow your lungs like nothing else .
Swimming can be a great help if you have ****y legs , racehorses get super fit using it , and I have seen champion Pit dogs loose no power trained on swimming so it must cross over to power as well ,,,, not saying its better than roadwork as its very subjective .

I think it was Nate Campbell that beat Juan more than anything else , full credit he deserves .

Diaz always looks flabby in the mid section.

Also the excuses are really getting out of hand here!

And I thought the Taylor crowd was bad haha

I don't care what he did Nate still roughed up and beat his ass. Campbell did what he said he would do. Killed that body all night.
