Haye wants Rahman for first fight

his first target is WBC No 3 and IBF No 4 Hasim Rahman, who won the world title in 2001 when he knocked out Lennox Lewis.

Haye’s manager Adam Booth said: “We came close to making the fight against Rahman before we took the bout against Maccarinelli.

“There’s a strong possibility it could be revived and I will be talking to WBC and IBF officials to see if it could be billed as a title eliminator.

Cool Rahman is rated high but is not as good as he used to be and is very slow now, I think haye would probably beat rahman by mid round KO. This would set up a great fight. If wlad and peter fight eachother soon and the winner to fight Haye.

This fight would make Haye look good for the audience but Rahman isn't the same fighter that he was.

That would be one hell of a smart move.

that would be a very smart fight for haye. he'd knock rahman out early. rahman is shot to hell and he has zero defense and no mobility at all anymore. he'd be a sitting duck for haye's accurate punching
