Do fights get stopped too early for your taste?

I know they stop fights to protect the health of the boxer, but I think some fights get stopped a little too soon. Like when a boxer gets knocked down for the first time, some refs don't even give some boxers another chance at winning the fight. While if we look in the past we seen fights between fraizer and foreman where fraizer was knocked down multiple times and giving every opportunity to turn the fight around. And of course he failed, but the point I am making is, atleast they gave him a chance. Now adays the refs jump in a little too soon for my liking. Whats your thought on this matter?

Sometimes but most of the time, the stoppage is OK.

That one ref ruined that Calzaghe/Manfredo fight by stopping it. Of course anyone with half a brain knows Calzaghe was going to end up koing Manfredo probably out of the ring but it just leaves a bad after taste that they stopped that fight early. I enjoy watching alot of Calzaghes fights, and that is by far his worst one because of the ****ty stoppage on the refs part.

Nope, they should do it more often.

Even though we all like a war, the ref is there to protect a fighter....too many times I see fighters get clubbered to death but not going down, and throwing nothing back.....that should always be stopped.

Some will say thats strategy, but any strategy that involves getting hit flush in the face with no coutering is a bad one.

Fighters know they have to throw back, clinch, or voluntarily take a knee when they're gettin whooped to keep the ref from shutting them down. I'd say most stoppages are fair, probably about 90%.

So, peter manfredo was to blame for the early stoppage not the ref?

Most of the stoppages are ok like last nights Haye stoppage of Macca, Macca showed he could barely continue but the ref decided right by halting it
