do you have to make weight at prelims? i thought you are allowed to be 3 lbs over in prelims, 2 lbs on quarters, 1 on semis?

lol, of course you have to make weight.. But for example my weight class (141), prelims you would have to be under 141+3 (144), 141+2 (143), 141 + 1 (semis).Comment

Thats weird, how much time is it between pre-lims and the other rounds? When I competed in tournaments (wrestling)it was actually the opposite. You had to make intitial weight and each day of the tournament we were given an allowance of about 1lb IIRC. Also towards the end of the season they gave additional allowances of 1lb per month if you were able to get certification at the lower weights.Comment

thats what i mean, lets say i weigh 152 atm fighting at 147, would i still have a buffer to be at MAX 150 prelims , 149 at quarters, 148 at semis?
i honestly dont know what the rules are on this, ive been told so many different things, it would suck having to get to 147 in 2 weeks, i already cut down 18 lbs, 5 more in 2 weeks is going to kill me, i have barely any body fat left and was dehydrated as hell when i weighed 148 and test weigh insComment
