I hope this fight actually happens, and soon, not a year &a half from now after negotiations and more VK injuries. I think it has potential to be an exciting match.

Have seen and hear that so many times only for him to pull out of fights because of injuries...I would believe it when i see him in the ring throwing a punch.

Vitali Klitschko analysed the 'Dirty-Peter' vs. Maskaev fight last night on german television channel RTL. The main points were as follows:

He said that he looked forward to fighting Peter and that the negotiations of where and when starts immidiately. He expects and agreement will be reached in two weeks time. Vitali said that he needs about 10 weeks to be in tip-top shape.

Furthermore he stated that it is the goal to achieve the historical feat that his younger brother Wladimir and himself should be champions at the same time.

He gave a good analysis of the fight stating among other things that Oleg didn't have the punchresistance any longer and that he didn't fight enough on the inside.

He concluded that he now will go home and study a lot of Peters fights to establish a tactic.

He ended by saying that he hoped the fight would go on in Germany.
style wise prime vitali would have been a nightmare for peter. peter relies on being able to hit guys in the back of the head. that would have been nearly impossible with vitali who's 6'7 fights straight up and has good upper body movement. peter wouldnt have landed anything even semi clean. vitali would have murdered him. now is a different story. assuming vit even makes it through training camp,,his timing will be off and his stamina will likely be low. Ive never seen a fighter at even 70% of himself after years out of the ring with significant injuries no less. as much as I dislike peter I think he wins this fight

When did Vitali start to be such a monster puncher?

Fighting off the back foot with akward balance, Vitali will probably be too defensive to be a one punch KO artist against Sam Peter.

Even coming forward throwing everything he had against Lewis, he failed to look like a serious ****er.
He's got alot of knockouts, but they are more often than not caused by accumulation of punches.

I guess Vitali has seen Sam Peter flailing around in his last couple of fights and quickly recovered from his career-ending knee injury that kept him out of the ring with Hassim Rahman (of all people!). What bravery. Maybe Peter will make his eye fall out of his head completely this time.

I'm hoping the fight will be in Germany and there will be a good referee
That's like hoping for a trip to the moon but only if there's lots of oxygen there.
