Instead of bums like Ray Austin and most of the other lousy opponents mandatories usually turn out to be, a mandatory actually was a good fighter last night. Usually, mandatories are a waste of time. But this fight actually turned out to be great!
Nate Campbell actually won 2 title eliminators to get this fight, and he won both in incredibly dominant fashion.
He also looked great, instead of using ****ty tactics like mandatories, he came right into the fight throwing 100 punches a round. And these punches were meaningful, and he threw a huge variety of punches. And he was incredibly experienced in a professional ring.
Honestly, I think all the belts should do this...have two title eliminators to determin who gets a shot at the belt. Then we actually get meaningful, good fighters as mandatories! Then we would get those 'tournameants', like we got to see with the heavyweights and the IBF belt(The best belt, in my opinion)
Why not? We should make it happen!
