He's like a really annoying kid brother who wants to take part in a conversation with the big kids. All the way through last night's broadcast he irritated the piss out of me. He interrupted an interesting bit of dialogue about use of different chemicals to prevent cuts to wax idiotic on "upsets throughout history". Lampley, Lederman and Stewart sounded as irritated by his constant chirruping as I was.

Max was that Max at ESPN, Fox Sports. HBO knew what they were getting.
He's got some boxing knowledge though he often acts like a fan instead of a journalist.

Every now and then it's refreshing to hear someone like that though.
Lennox, Emmanuel, Roy, George - they're often full of **** even though they're involved/were involved with the sport. Being an athlete and being capable of getting in the ring doesn't always equate to being able to evaluate or commentate well.
I'd rather listen to Shobox's Steve Farhood any day of the week. That dude knows his **** even though I'd be surprised if he's ever laced 'em up...or played any sport outside of a spelling bee or chess tournamentComment

I don't his rhetoric, usually. He's not a bad guy. But, last night you could tell he isn't a fan of Juan Diaz. When he complimented him, you could tell he was just reading it off the paper, so to speak. After the fight, he was a pretty happy camper.Comment

The dude needs to get a mirror. Its almost like HBO gave him a ******ed makeup artist and makes sure there are no mirrors around.
If he actually sees what he looks like and still goes out on camera like that, then there is something mentally wrong with him.
Why on earth would he go on camera night after night with that herpes on his face? Cover that **** up with makeup.Comment
