Why should we, the two Enzo's showed little respect to an undisputed champion who bent over backwards to make the fight, he got ko'd, thats boxing. Enzo found his placing last night, as long as there are fighters of Hayes caliber at cruiser he will always be a b-class fighter at best.

I'm sure Calzaghe Sr said what he said to give Enzo as much confidence as he could going into this fight. The more people who believe in you the more you believe in your self.

I don't recall Maccarinelli saying a bad word about Haye either...

I wasn't sure whether to interpret that as disappointment at Enzo's 'lapse' or disgust at the ref for not letting Enzo carry on. I'd guess you're right, probably the former. Listen just before the unofficial KD and you can hear Joe yelling "move yer head!"

Was surprised to hear so many opine before the fight that Haye and Enzo were rougly equal in speed. Enzo has always looked sluggish even at his best, Haye has always been comparatively fleet of foot with faster hands, that disparity was totally shown up last night. All it took was a swing of that little decoy left and The Hayemaker was crashing through the open door and onto Mac's jaw in the time it took Enzo to get a fraction of the way through the motion of his left hook.

Mac's cool. Props for a gracious defeat. I'm glad he was ok, that was the main concern. Took some big shots in the round.

I think Macca disrespected Haye by claiming to be the best cruiser in the world over the past year, clearly a vast overstatement. I mean the level of his opponents has been appauling.

K for kompassion. It was an exciting KO, but I can't lie and say I don't hate to see fighters in that state. Paradox, ain't it?

Yeah. The only remark of Cal Sr.'s I thought was unnecessary was the one about Haye never fighting again if he went 12 rounds.

Mac was a gentleman throughout the build-up. A few spiky soundbites, as you'd expect, but no genuine disrespect.
