Following Team Mirandas challenge Kesslers promoter has the following on their website (own translation):
"Mogens Palle confirms that former IBF-title-challenger, Miami-hotshot Edison Miranda (30-2, 26 KO) is being considered as the next opponent for Mikkel Kessler.
Mirandas promotion-company Seminole Warriors Boxing the other day issued a website challenge to the danish ex-champion and accused him of not daring to face the colombian hard-hitter in Florida or elsewhere in the US.
To this Mogens Palle says that Miranda is one of the fighters HBO has mentioned as an interesting opponent to Kessler this spring and Team Palle has this past month had preliminary discussions with HBO.
-For this reason it's an outrageous comment that Mikkel didn't have the guts to fight Miranda. He wouldn't mind at all, if the money is right and no 'hotter' opponent surfaces. There are several other options under consideration. Mikkel very much want to fight his next outing in USA, but I can't promise that his next fight could be in Denmark, if the exact right opponent should be available, Mogens Palle says.
