"Gomez vs. Cotto: The Buildup" Online Documentary Series Debuts March 10

Los Angeles, Cal., March 7, 2008 – You’ve heard the hype - now witness the reality. “Gomez vs. Cotto: The Buildup,” an online documentary series debuting March 10, offers a compelling behind-the-scenes look at Alfonso S. Gomez (18-3-2) as he prepares to face undefeated WBA welterweight champion Miguel Cotto (31-0-0) on HBO April 12 from Atlantic City.

With six weekly webisodes airing continuously on www.alfonsosgomez.com, “The Buildup” follows Alfonso S. Gomez as he strengthens himself mentally and physically for his toughest challenge yet. “The Build Up” offers an inside look at the grueling training camp led by his father Alfonso S. Gomez, Sr., and the work and dedication that it takes to make a fight of this magnitude happen.

The first webisode features the official fight announcement and press conference held February 25 in New York as well as the start of training camp. Over the following weeks, Gomez works to build the stamina, speed and skills required for 12 rounds of toe-to-toe action against undefeated champion Miguel Cotto. Finally, diehard boxing fans as well as those with a casual interest in the sport will be drawn into the excitement as the pressure intensifies, leading to the showdown on April 12 as Gomez fulfills his dream of a world title.

The journey begins Monday, March 10, at 10 a.m. ET on www.alfonsosgomez.com.

This is more of the case: "How can we make Gomez look good so we can glorify Cotto's victory if he wins?"
Very old in boxing. And for some reason they only do that in the states. Smarten up already!

Because Cotto's camp has everything to do with this...

Gomez' people put together good videos. The special effects are kind of overkill though.

It appears that Alfonso is preparing to do battle with Miguel Cotto and the nation of Puerto Rico with a luxury car, an MTV reject, and a very large timepiece.. Creme de la creme.
