Gomez (18-3-2) as he prepares to face undefeated WBA welterweight champion Miguel Cotto (31-0-0) on HBO April 12 from Atlantic City.

Gomez as he strengthens himself mentally and physically for his toughest challenge yet. “The Build Up” offers an inside look at the grueling training camp led by his father Alfonso S. Gomez, Sr., and the work and dedication that it takes to make a fight of this magnitude happen.
The first webisode features the official fight announcement and press conference held February 25 in New York as well as the start of training camp. Over the following weeks, Gomez works to build the stamina, speed and skills required for 12 rounds of toe-to-toe action against undefeated champion Miguel Cotto.
