    Weight KOs Castillo Again!

    Weight KOs Castillo again!

    Friday, March 7 2008

Former world champion Jose Luis Castillo has pulled out of his WBC junior welterweight eliminator with #1 rated Timothy Bradley on Saturday night in Cancun. Castillo said stomach pains prevented him from losing the final three pounds required to make the 140lb limit. "I am very sorry, I feel depleted," stated Castillo. "I think it would be for the best. I don't want for anything in the world to hurt this sport....last night I had increasingly intense pains and my trainer and the doctor suggested I cancel the fight for my own safety." Castillo and his team returned this afternoon to Mexicali.

      Time to retire Jose Luis...

When you made 135 in 2005, and can't even make 140 in 2008, your body is telling you no dice to losing weight anymore.

It's time to retire for Castillo. This was his last chance.

I think they can still get someone to fight on a day's notice, it's a WBC eliminator after all.

He was finished after he met the hitman. Decent champ. But time to retire.

            Thanks for the memories!

              Not untill Mayweather came along.

Damn Castillo! I wanted to see him fight!

He had to lose 7 1/2 and he lost 4 1/2... He tried though. He won't move up either. I don't think its a good move.

He'll either move up or retire. I can't imagine any promoter being dumb enough to sign him for a 140 lb fight again.

Naw he was shot before the Hatton fight. A prime Castillo would of completely dominated Herman Ngoujdo.
