It's not a bad theory, but Maskaev is more of a big-puncher artist more than he is technical boxer. Unless Maskaev has plans on somehow taking this fight 12 rounds, Peter's weight probably isn't going to be much of an issue.

I just don't see Maskaev winning this one.

Peter should have came in at 235 -240 max. if he seriously wanted to beat this guy....even though Oleg have not fought in over a year he will still do to Peter what he did to Rahman and Peter will be coming forward and Oleg will be picking his shots to the body and the head... he,s a great body puncher and that will be Peter,s downfall by him coming in at 250 plus because everyone know after the weigh-in the first thing you do is eat like a mother****er so that puts him at 255-260 not good for movement... you heard it here first... am i the only one who thinks that this guy is overrated and over weight???

Peter looks as usual but he could weigh a bit less. I hoped he weighs in at 245 and his best weight would be 240. But he will still beat Maskaev.

Heavyweight dont "eat like a mother ****er". They dont have to cut weight. They just get in their best shape and fight.

And before you look at Peter's weight, notice this is the heaviest Maskaev has ever been if not the second heaviest.

I mean Rachman was going to ko Maskaev and RAchman got beat up pretty bad. Mccline put Peter down 3 times and then said that Peter really didn't punch that hard. Maskaev has a shot. Peter is way overconfident, he thinks God will do all the work for him.

Peter showed in his outing against McCline that he can be hurt so Maskaev can also hurt him. However, I think Peter has the edge in this one.

I think more of what he showed, is that he can be hurt, bad.. and still come back to win. I like that in a fighter.. I dont discredit him for what happened in the jameel fight, I praise him for it.
