Does the guy who avenged his loss always have the "bragging rights" over the guy who won the first fight? I always felt that the first fight's winner had the sweeter victory because he won without the experience of fighting the opponent.

I guess that depends on the individual scenario.
Depends on how the first fight went, the build-up, the tension between them, the second fight etc.
As well as the personalities of course.
My pick would be the winner of the second though, because when you lose to a guy, he's over you like a shadow.
He will be the guy you secretly watch and hope he gets burned, you know?
When you get the revenge, the weight is off your shoulders, the ghost is gone and you don't care anymore on how that person is doing in his career compared to you.
That's my two euros. -

I have to concur though. It depends on the situation. More times than not I believe the second victory is sweeter considering the first one always has some sort of circumstance around it FOR a second fight to occur. A perfect example is Lennox Lewis, his first fight losses were erased when he was more prepared in his second fight, showing who the actual better man was. That is my 2 CENTS, yeah I am cheap.Comment
