its sad that this dude has to act like an uneducated, disrespectful, materialistic bafoon just to get people interested in his work inside of the ring when the guy has all the boxing talent in the world. and it has nothing to do with being black either. RJJ never had that problem.

He uses his talent in the ring. He just makes it look easy. The fight will sell better if one guy comes across as a *****. They'll pay to see Floyd lose rather than win. If Cotto and Floyd fight people will pay and hope that Cotto knocks his ass out. Either way more cash for Floyd.

Floyd lasted more than 2 weeks, and you know why Oscar appeals better than Floyd. Oscar's a nice guy in everything he does. When have you seen Oscar call someone a ***** to their face or disrespect other fighters.

I agree Oscar gives the illusion of being the clean cut nice guy, which the public likes. He shows some personality and people have seen his vulnerability in the public eye. But he also was well known for the olympics and being an entertaining tough fighter. He made himself the draw he is today.

Floyd on the other hand is ****y beyond belief, shows little personality only an image of what he thinks is cool. I think he would actually do well if he would just cut the act and be himself.

The general public has no idea who Floyd is.

That will change this year. Dancing with the stars.....15 mill of viewers of ****sexual & old women. NBA all-star weekend. WWE - Kids, women, and all kinds of people exposed on a weekly series that has millions of viewers.

Things will change after Wrestlemania.

Floyd knows controversy will sell. People probably would be bored if he just layed back and then won the fight. Somebody has to be the bad guy. And Floyd's style isn't always exciting so he keeps you interested in another way.

Its also because he is not likeable and has no charisma. A truly great fighter and star combination would capture the attention of the general public.

Fighting on national tv like ABC would help. But those days are gone.
