Lee Hopes Top Rank Deal Lands Pavlik

Undefeated middleweight prospect Andy Lee is hoping that his nearly completed promotional deal with Top Rank will lead him to an eventual shot at WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik, who is also under the Top Rank banner. Speaking with the Irish Voice, Lee feels the Top Rank deal will clear a lot of obstacles for a fight with Pavlik. [details]

    He's not ready

This Andy Lee kid is going to be good, but Manny is pushing him way too fast. This is how young fighters careers are shattered Pavlik would stop him in 5.This time next year may be a different story if Pavlik is still a middleweight.

That's just crazy talk. Pavlik is not God to the middleweight division. When these two finally get in the ring this will abbundantly clear. Lee as far as skills go is head and shoulders above anyone Pavlik has fought and yes that includes Taylor.

He might go toe to toe, but against Pavlik that probably wouldn't be in his best interest. I think a fight with Pavlik would be too early if it came later this year but sometime next year I think he would have a good chance.
