Genuine Question - Did Floyd REALLY get $20 Mill from WWE?

This is not a Floyd bash thread.
I am just curious. From what little I know of the WWE, their employees all get paid a solid but unspectacular salary. They are TV characters performing a sports based soap opera.
In their story lines characters win control of the federation itsself amongst other unrealistic results.
Is it likely that this federation that doesn't pay it's biggest stars millions even with the junk that they sell in their image would pay a gifted but non household name boxer $20million for probably a month or so's association?
I'm sure he's making plenty of money but I suspect the $20million aspect is hype and part of the storyline that addresses his 'money' moniker.
    Anyone enlighten me.

Not likely, 2 mil is probably more like it. Their performers are mostly fairly well compensated, the top earners probably making around a mil annually. So it's unlikely that they would pay 20 mil to a boxer who isn't even all that well known by the mainstream entertainment consumer.

Actually he got $43.2 trillion dollars. About 14 times the cost of the Iraq war.

Exactly. I saw a YouTube clip of PBF's Raw appearance and when they said "20 million dollars" I knew it had to be part of the story.

No way he's getting more than a million or two for this. If he was making 20, Big Show would probably hurt him legit out of jealousy.

No wreslter in the history of wrestling ever got 20 million for a years salary. And I'm talking about guys like Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, The Rock, Stone Cold who all attracted 100 times more fans and merchandise sales than Mayweather ever would even if he were there for 100 years. The 20 mill is obviously for storyline purposes. Its not like someone could actually get proof otherwise so they could say whatever they want. They've already mentioned it a couple of times saying things like "Mayweather, do you think getting in the ring with the Big Show is worth 20 million", so that pretty much makes it obvious that they did it for the story. I would venture to guess that he is getting no more than $500 000 if that. There is no way he would even get 1 mill.

Nah man! It just doesnt make ANY financial sense for WWE to pay him that much. Have you seen Floyd's attempts to build this fight up? Its borderline pathetic. No way on earth would WWE profit off of paying Floyd 20mil. I say that he got no more than 1-2mil, and is just doing this for the exposure.

**** No! I don't buy it. Vince McMahon is a smart guy and Floyd will never generate the extra money needed to cover a 20mil salary, so why would he? A couple of million tops would be my estimate.
