Lol, just some commentary on an hour long ESPNClassic episode involving Junior Jones. Idk, no biggie.

I forgot these two ever fought. Jones used to be a great puncher coming up the ranks. I remember i used to watch tuesday night fights and there used to be a few regualar fighters. There was this one fighter that keep winning on tnf then he was matched up with Junior Jones, im expect a war. And Jones comes in and ko's the guy in what i think was 1 or 2 round. The skill and power difference was very surpriseing.

For a while before Morales or Barrera ruled the 122 division Tracy Patterson and Kennedy McKinney ruled this division. And they had been trying to pit these too together for a long while. Sadly, they never faced each other in the ring.

Jones had scary punching power I hear, back in his prime.

He also had one of the worst chins in boxing, so the legend goes.

People told me that was the main reason that everyone was picking Barrera to make easy work of Jones, because there was no way on earth that Jones could take what Barrera could dish out.
