This will be my reaction if Gomez KOs Cotto

My belief is that Cotto's chin is significantly better at welterweight than at 140, where he struggled for years to reach weight. He's stronger now at 147, taking punches from Judah and Mosley that would've KO'ed him at 140 easier than expected.
Same situation with Tommy Hearns at 147, where he was too light. His legs didn't have anything to hold onto when the tide came in against him. At 154, he had a better chin. At 160, well, you get caught sometimes by Hagler and **** happens.
I also think David Haye's punch resistance will catch up at heavyweight, where he won't be so badly drained and will be able to stand up to punches better.Comment

My original thoughts on the matter was that Alfonso was being sent to slaughter....and I have to admit I was glad because I still hate the kid. (don't ask, I don't want to debate it again.)
But upon further reflection of his boxing ability and a lengthy discussion with a fellow poster who's opinion I hold very highly, he may have a chance here.
Still, no bets on this one. I'll just watch it unfold as a fan this time around.Comment

It's just hilarious how people give Gomez a chance. Cmon the contender? Who's next Mora vs. Mosley?Comment
