    If Lewis had Alis chin............

Would he retire undefeated and have been better to watch knowing you had the best chin in history?

Sorry can't make threads at work.

I feel that knowing your range is the most important...

Obviously most of you can figure out why I would say that if you have fought or sparred..

    Anyone see it differently?

If so lemme know I'd like to see what you all think.

Probably........I don't think Lewis' chin is as bad as many make it to be. I mean 90% or the fighters out there would have been KOed by the shots he took from McCall and Rahman. They were clean shots. Lennox just used to get ****y and keep his left hand too low at times. When focused he was unbeatable. And he did avenge both of his losses.......so he did beat every man he stepped in the ring with.

But if he had Ali's chin he wouldn't be Lewis. Fighters come as a package, take them for what they are or don't bother.

If Foreman had Marciano's stamina would he have retired undefeated? If Tyson had Frazier's mind would he have had as many losses?

Lennox Lewis had one hell of a chin.. His chin is underrated.

Same with Daye Haye.. All fighters go down, Haye always gets back up.
When Haye lost to Thompson, he ate his shots walking backwards, he was hurt but he didn't go down and the ref stopped it.

Lewis's chin was alright....not glass not but not real good either.

If Lewis had taken McCall's shot in 1994 and went on and won the fight, his poor balance (which caused him to get caught in the first place) would've been exploited sooner or later.

If Lewis had say McCall's chin (better example), he would have been boring to watch after a while because he wouldn't have been so cautious and would have been blowing people out. You would know the outcome of the fight before it happened. What's the fun in that?
