cruiserweight is one of the best divisions. they just don't have the recognition cuz the hw division is near by. But I think the cw division is like the HW division on fast forward with a higher work rate. If anyone tells you they love to watch hw fights more than cw fights than they don't know boxing.
Re introductiong the cruiserweight division

I have lauded the cruiserweights for the past 3 years. One big problem the division had after it crowned a linear champion after 17 years of absence was that the liear champion was O'Neil Bell. he didn't fight for over a year and is best known for throwing axes at his sparring partners during that period and missing fights because he had to have his wisdom teeth pulled. Bell has no personality and no sense. Jean Marc Mormeck has always been willing to take the big fights and luckily he captured the titles from Bell. Then Haye came in and took them from him in a great fight. This weekend has another very important fight in the division between American Matt Godfrey and Czech Rudolf Kraj. While Haye and Maccarinelli are known for their power, Kraj and Godfrey are both technically surperior fighters whose power derives from combinations and angles. The winner will be the WBC mandatory, which really means nothing, but it will create a top 3 cruiserweight in the post Haye era of the division to stand in with Macca and Cunningham.Comment

I had nothing against Bell becoming the undisputed champ especially after the great performance he put in, and i always feel he show a lot of personality in the ring maybe to much like in the 2nd mormeck fight he kissed mormeck and then when he got a low blow he ran across the ring and collapsed in over dramatic fashion. I do agree that it was annoying that he didn’t defended the title for over a year but that was actually don kings fault.
There are a few important cruiser fights coming up we have that Matt Godfrey fight you mentioned plus Bell vs Adameck in April, and we also have Johnathon Banks now rated number 1 contender by the WBO.Comment
