Calzaghe may win but it will be boring like Klitschko vs Iggy and the Americans will boo him out of the building. Why would Calzaghe want to fight Bernard Hopkins of all people in his first fight in America?

I just don't get all these people saying Hop can win. Even in his prime he would have no chance against Calz.
I will bet ALL my points with anyone on a Calzaghe win.
Here is the reason that people think Hopkins will win:
Calzaghe isn't known for throwing short, straight, efficient punches. Hopkins is probably the best counterpuncher in the game, considering his offense is almost entirely based around it. Also, he has the best right hand counter in the game. The more Calzaghe throws, the more opportunities Hopkins has to land the counter right hand. Getting your ass countered repeatedly is a very good way to make your workrate disappear.
It is going to be on Joe to figure out what adjustments he needs to make to make his workrate effective and immune to the counter straight right hand. If he can do that, he will win the fight. If he doesn't, he is probably going to be in some trouble.
I pick Calzaghe because of his ability to adjust, and I pick him to win an extremely close decision.
This fight will be the most competitive of Calzaghe's career.
A guy who struggled life and death with right hand counterpunches from one much lesser Reid who blueprinted the fight style: Will have too much trouble BEATING let alone BLOWING OUT an All time Great defensive Tactician.
LMFAO.
Calzaghe clearly lost the fight against Reid. Hands down.
Utter bull****, Calzaghe won that fight by 1-2 Rounds with one hand throughout the fight. Reid was a class act back then and Calzaghe adjusted with one hand to win. People are forgetting that Calzaghe can smoother and ruin a boxer and has many tricks up his sleeve just like Hopkins. If Taylor could out work Hopkins imagine what Calzaghe can do, Southpaw won't matter because Joe goes square on when he lets rip and Hopkins won't have a chance to counter as he won't know whats hit him. Anyone who tries to be patient with Joe and counter has always lost and in big fashion its the worst way to beat him.
I'm so tired of UK fans giving biased descriptions and talk about how he's the best there is. I might as well say Greg Oden is the best center ever even though he's never played in the NBA. Or that Blanco is the best soccer player even though he plays in the MLS. The only way Joe can cement a legacy is to stop worrying about his ******, meaningless undefeated record and fight the best fighters here in the states, not just forty three year old B-Hop, who I hope headbutts him and breaks his nose. JC will probably win on points b/c judges masterbate to work rate. How many athletes do you have in the UK besides your soccer players, who aren't even that great of athletes compared to basketball and football players. Bottom line is, America is the most dominant sporting country on the planet. Go check the medal count in the Olympics the past fifty years if you don't believe me.
A prime B-Hop perhaps could have kept it close, but now it shouldn't be close. Hop's only chance is to open a cut with a headbutt, get DQ'd, or get some real bull**** help from the referee.
Joe is just the more talented fighter, it's not complicated
