William Detoliff brings about a good point about Calzaghe

It’s Day 38 of the Joe Calzaghe Injury Watch in advance of Calzaghe’s showdown with Bernard Hopkins on April 19. Nothing yet from the Welshman’s camp, but stay tuned—I’m sensing a bruised uvula or something similar not far down the road (oh, don’t act so surprised).
He brings up a good point. Is it possible this fight will get delayed? I know the Lacy fight was and I'm pretty sure he was supposed to fight Glen Johnson in 2004, but they both got injured.

He's also been injured in the past too. Is there a good chance he gets injured in training camp? I certainly hope not because that'll be excuse #1 when Hopkins beats him...that and I want to see this fight more then any other out there.

If he hurts his hand in camp he will delay the fight simple.

He fought Lacy with a bad hand im not sure he will do the same with Hopkins although one handed Joe would still beat Hopkins we could have say Nady or Cortez as the ref. Both crooks of the highest order and Eugene (Holyfield) Williams is also judgin NS fights again.

Joe will need to out land Hopkins by 100-150 punches to get the decision.

Why don't we talk about whether Hopkins will welch on the deal? I know he is leaving it late, he was very quick last time, but i certainly wouldn't rule it out.

You mean when he done this:

Agree then next day double his demands.

Because Hopkins has never been injured in the gym before (atleast to my knowledge) causing him to pull out.

Joe on the other hand has had injuries in the past so it's something to worry about.

          edit:

How suprising that Joe's own camp said this. Bernard wanted 3 million in cash and the lawyer mistook it for just 3 million in purse. A fighter loses a big percent of his purse and Hopkins wanted 3 million without fees.

And even if he had, this was not when they were already signed to fight. I'm talking about injuries here. And even if had Bernard ducked Joe, I could care less because they are fighting now.

            I'm not talking about injury.
