    Exclusive Interview: David Diaz (03/03/08)

Editor: It's been a while since we've had you on, we're a couple of weeks away from your fight with Ramon Montano. How's everything going?

David Diaz: "I'm definitely getting ready and getting in fighting shape. I'm feeling great. Everybody needs to stay tuned to my fight, we're going to have an exciting fight, and I'm going to be at my best."

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: DAVID DIAZ : Based on the fact that Bob Arum told me that if you and Manny Pacquiao are victorious on March 15, you'll fight each other next in Macau, how many Team Diaz members will have their PAcquiao pom-poms ringside by the time the main event goes off?

David Diaz: (laughs) "We're all going to be there, but first we have to talk care of business against Montano, it's first things first. Then I'll become a Manny Pacquiao cheerleader myself."

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: DAVID DIAZ : What do you know about Montano?

DD: "We know he's a pressure fighter. He's a tall guy. He uses his jab really well. He's a pressure fighter and it's something that will be a very exciting fight."

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: DAVID DIAZ : Has it been tough to focus on Montano knowing Pacquiao could be next?

DD: "No. I've been focusing in on Montano. Ever since I found out we were going to fight him. You can't take nobody lightly in this sport because the second you do is the second you're on the outside looking in. I've focused on him as much as possible and I'm ready to take care of business. There's been no slacking on my end for the Montano fight, I've done everything I need to do to make sure I'm at 100% for this fight."

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: DAVID DIAZ : Does he go the distance with you being 100%?

DD: "No. I hope not. We're going in there for the win, which is most important. If the knockout comes, it comes. Getting a good solid win is most important."

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: DAVID DIAZ : Who do you like in Diaz-Campbell?

DD: "I think Diaz will put the pressure on Nate, we're going to have to wait and see if Nate uses his boxing. It's a tough fight to pick and I actually give the edge in power for that fight to Nate Campbell. It's a tough fight and we're going to have to wait and see for that one."

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: DAVID DIAZ : Casamayor-Katsidis?

DD: "Based on their last fights, it's tough to see Casamayor not getting stopped early. If Katsidis jumps on him quick, I think it's going to be an early night for Casamayor."

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: DAVID DIAZ : Closing thoughts?

DD: "I want everybody to stay tuned. I appreciate you for always giving me good ink. I want to let my fans know we're setting up Diazboxing.com and it should be opening up soon."
