Busy when you mix up your attack is one thing, but busy when you're fighting off your front foot and not bringing your hands back fast enough is bad when you're in with a counter puncher.

Campbell has the power, the speed, the movement, everything to beat Diaz. Diaz hasn't been in tough as of late and it's easy to showcase new wrinkles when your opponents have been a shopworn Julio Diaz and a retired Freitas. Campbell's mindset has been much hungrier having to prove every performance that he is worthy of a title shot. On that note, I favor Campbell with intangibles.

I think this will be a case of a guy having a style that isn't good for the other. Diaz has been fighting guys with slow feet and that make them fight that fight. What happens when Diaz has to adjust, something no one's made him do yet?

Unless Campbell doesn't show up to fight, which he has done in the past but at lower, unhealthier weights, I think he pulls off the upset. Then again, I've been wrong before and maybe this will be a learning experience (Like when I picked Tito and Tarver over Hopkins).

solid points on how diaz hasnt fought a guy like campbell, i agree

i just dont know how you can beat juan diaz when you couldnt not beat hlatschwayo, peden, or even francisco lorenzo, a guy juan diaz threw around like a piece of meat when he was like 19. Lorenzo was his chief sparring partner, and Juan Diaz embarrased him at he was going no where near full speed. Lorenzo said Campbell would not win, that Diaz will be champ for many years

Alot of my argument centers around Campbell's issues with weight. At 130 pounds, he wasn't healthy. He had a situation like Vivian Harris does where he just couldn't put the pedal to the metal. At 135, he's been a much better fighter. Before the Lorenzo fight, he says he was spitting and spending extensive time in the sauna to get the weight off. He said that he was not confident going into that fight.

With Hlatschwayo, who was physically much bigger than Campbell, I had Campbell winning until he went DLH-Tito on him late in the fight. His corner told him to step off the gas and he followed orders. It cost him a close fight and he switched his cornermen.

For this camp, he hasn't only been working on technique, he's been vicious. I mean, beating the living crap out of sparring partners that don't get beat up. I'm impressed with his mindset here.

Diaz by a big UD. Something like 118-110. Think he outworks Cambell; his quick combinations and brutal body punches rack up rounds.

I agree that Campbell's speed and different boxing style of Diaz's last few opponents are gonna give Juan troubles, but I still see him winning. It seems like he imposes his will on his opponents and makes them fight his fight and plus his defense is pretty good unlike some pressure fighters and that jab of his has looked good in his last two fights. I either see him winning a UD or another late stoppage.
