I'm American and I would say American's. I believe someone may have already said something along this line but I think what sometimes seems to be British biased is just a response to American arrogance. I think the best fighters do generally come from the US, both past and present, but a lot of Americans who believe this get big headed and automatically assume US fighter > fighter from another country and let everyone know this in a rude fashion. So I think this causes UK fans, for example, to embrace their fighters even more since no one wants to give in to the other side who shows no respect.

I'm not saying there isn't a fair share of biased UK fans, I just think US arrogance adds a little boost.

the majority of British Fans heroes are American fighters ,Ray Leonard ,Muhammad Ali ,Mike Tyson etc if u take a look at my sig u wont see one British fighter in their mostly American , infact it was possbily through exposure to great American fighters that a lot of British fans on this forum became Boxing fans in the first place ,i know in Britain Muhammad Ali was still reveared as the real Heavyweight champion even when U.S media did'nt recognise him as the linear Heavyweight Champ

Yes yes we know about your sig and that you have American fighters as your favorites. Don't have to brag about it so many times. And it's probably just an act. Most Brits have 90% of their favs being British/European fighters.

Brits. I see lots of Americans who will cheer for the Brit (myself included) over an American fighter, but I dont see many if any Brits who will cheer for the non Brittish fighter. Im American and I cheered for Hatton and I will be cheering for Joe C against Hopkins.

exactly. you are an example of a typical american fan. no british would ever cheer for a non brit the way you are cheering on Hatton and Calzaghe. If you ever go against hatton or calzaghe, the british will start crying and taking it personally as if calzaghe and hatton are their husbands and we've just made fun of their lovers.
