I don't want to see a fourth fight

It would be a great fight that would be worth the watch, do not get me wrong. I think this fight for fight is the best trilogy in the history of boxing. I can't name another trilogy that sustained this action constantly through every round of three fights and ended with such fantastic absolute last second possible drama. It was amazing.

A fourth fight would only cheapen the legacy, even if it compared to the other three favorably. Why? Well there is simply no reason for a fourth fight competitively. Look at the three fights. The first fight was very even in which Marquez won due to an injury. The second fight Vasquez won by KO and was leading in up to that point. He also won the third by deserved close decision. We have clearly and without question established that Israel Vasquez is just a tiny bit better than Rafael Marquez. It may only be the difference between an A and an A- fighter, but it is noticeable and definite.

The fourth fight would only be for money or fans selfishness. I for one would much rather see Vasquez move up and fight Chris John, Guerrero, or Linares and work on the featherweights. That would leave us with Marquez to try to clean up the division he just moved up to. Only after that would a fourth fight have true, true meaning like these three had.

I think it would be beyond selfish of fans to ask them to go at this again... if they do fight again it better be for a colossal payday

i agree. I mean, if it gets made im obviously not gonna complain. Its really the only meaningful fight in the division.

But i wanna see them fight other guys now u know? I cant wait to see Vazquez in with guys like Linares and Marquez fight a guy like Arce down at 118 maybe.

Same here, I worried for their safety in this fight, a fourth would really hurt them.

vazquez is not better than marquez, they're different fighters and marquez is smaller...but its obvious marquez has it much harder to beat vazquez so yeah i agree there's no point in IV....

The problem with a fourth fight is like if Marquez wins we need to have a fifth. I'm not complaining about that but they can't just fight each other for the rest of their careers.
