John Ruiz? seriously, think about it. Chagaev's best win is him, unless you want to say Valuev...and personally, I DONT think it's Valuev. I remember Ruiz having won that lousy fight against Valuev, and Valuev never has faced the opponents that Ruiz had anyway. he was losing the McCline fight before McCline's knee fell off, Ive heard from a lot of people that an ancient Larry Donald was robbed against Valuev in their fight, and Valuev was getting tagged repeatedly by a fighter like Monte Barrett....so I would say Ruiz is the #2 Heavyweights best win.

and that Ruiz vs Chagaev fight was a close one too.

    Just weird.

A lot of people consider Peter #2 though.

his win against valuev proves nothing.
valuev is a bum, who was 46-0 who has faced nothing but bums and chagaev beat him with a majority decision.
chagaev ain't nothing special either, his wins are mostly MD UD etc.

Yes we are well aware. The competition is very weak these days. I think Ruiz deserves another title shot though, cause I believe he beat Valuev.

thats true...but then again, whats Peter's biggest win?

James Toney? after losing to him in the first match? that also seems weird, lol. especially considering how old and heavy Toney is at this point in his career.

I would be surprised if people called Peter #2 after barely escaping a loss to McCline though. Peter was in deep trouble there, not only of getting knocked out, but on the scorecards too.

strange if you think about it.

Chagaev's best wins are Valuev, Virchis and Ruiz. They are not great names but they are all solid names.

Can you believe the 3rd best heavyweight's biggest win is James Toney.
Can you believe the best heavyweight's biggest win is... Chris Byrd?

agreed, he faced them all and has been in the rankings for a long, long time.

but his career seems to have gone downhill a bit. most people believe Golota was robbed in their fight, and then he goes and loses to the amazing overweight James Toney...then again he went on to beat Valuev right after that match.

but I give respet to Ruiz

Yea, I don't agree Peter being #2, but I just said it for argument's sake figuring surely someone in this board thinks that.

The thing is, the era of the American HWs has ended, and people from the other side of the world are ruling the division now, and we know very little about most of them, which is why people regard them as bums.
