    A Winning Strategy for Marquez?..

Easy; why doesn’t Marquez just try to break Vasquez’s nose again? After all, Vasquez was bothered enough to quit during their first fight. However, I doubt if Vasquez would quit this time around; in fact, I doubt either fighter would quit even if they had broken noses, jaws, hands, etc…

Having said all that, I do think that if Marquez broke Israel’s nose again, it would bother him and potentially impact the outcome of the fight….

So the question is, how hard would it be for Rafael to not only ‘head hunt’ but to pin point a hard enough punch on Vasquez’s nose? And is this a feasible strategy?...

    Thoughts/opinions please…

Btw, is there going to be an undercard to this fight?....

No televised undercard for this fight. The main event will begin about 15 minutes after the broadcast begins.

I'm picking Raf, and I think the key to winning is sticking to straight boxing rather than brawling. He is a better boxer than Izzy, and if he sticks to that tactic he'll win a decision or by TKO when Vazquez gets busted up again. Izzy's eyes are every bit as vulnerable as his nose.

The jab is the key punch for Marquez in this fight.

He's got a very heavy, accurate jab that will bust Vasquez up if he can stop him from coming inside.
As Scott9945 said, doesn't matter if it's eye's or nose, control the distance, win the jabbing war, & he should pull it off.

The prob with winning by targetting the opponents nose is that it doesnt prove you are better than the opponent if they quit just because you broke their nose and they cant breathe.

Man, forget that. Izzy's gonna win this! And then Juan will lose against Manny. This month will be the downfall of the brothers.

If you make your opponent quit b/c you busted up his face, or body, then I think it does prove your superiority...

I agree that Marquez just can't straight mix it up with Vasquez like he did in the second fight. He gots to use that jab that worked for him in that first fight and also try to stay away from the left hook of Vasquez. Vasquez in both fights has hurt him with that punch. If he continuously connects again it will be hard for Marquez to win.
