You're right. Since nothing the USA does affects other countries around the world and American influence and control is hardly (if ever) felt, their dissapearance would not alter the world in any way.

How is that they could have won the war? I consider myself to have a decent amount of knowledge on this particular subject and I'm not aware of this.

Let us not forget that war ended in British Surrender at Yorktown even with the aid of many brigades of Hessian mercenaries, thousands of men. Hessian troops on the ground outnumbered French infantry on the ground by a wide margin.

You've seen The Patriot. You know then 1 Mel Gibson running around the ground with a hatchet > 30 British troops.

Haha, yea, good movie, but at the time, Britain was focused on Asia and Africa a lot as well no?

Do you acknowledge the fact that Spain and France declared war on the British at the same time.
Without the Spanish & the Frenchies the BRITISH colonials would have failed.

Yeah Spain and France made your navy look like rubber duckies in a bathtub. Something to be proud of there.

Britain has a long celebrated Military History which far outweighs that of the USA.
And lets not forget the size of the British Empire at its height.
The like s of which will probably never be seen again.
And Britain gave most of its territory back.
Like any Country Britain has suffered losses.
Just like America was defeated by the Vietcong.
                  A tiny country in comparison.

There would certainly be less money in the sport and therefore not as many people would want to be boxers, leading to a lack of new talent, BUT it would certainly not die out completely.
