Let us not forget that war ended in British Surrender at Yorktown even with the aid of many brigades of Hessian mercenaries, thousands of men. Hessian troops on the ground outnumbered French infantry on the ground by a wide margin.Comment

Britain has a long celebrated Military History which far outweighs that of the USA.
And lets not forget the size of the British Empire at its height.
The like s of which will probably never be seen again.
And Britain gave most of its territory back.
Like any Country Britain has suffered losses.
Just like America was defeated by the Vietcong.

There would certainly be less money in the sport and therefore not as many people would want to be boxers, leading to a lack of new talent, BUT it would certainly not die out completely.Comment
